Description: Survey of the problems of community based corrections including the history and evolution of community correctional efforts, survey of community based treatment and rehabilitation efforts, jail administration, security and treatment role of practitioners and administrators, functional aspects of probation and parole, pre-release centers and halfway houses, and the relationship between institutional programs and the effect on released and pre-released prisoners in the community.
