Description: This course provides paramedic students with the crucial prehospital skill of airway management. It addresses both basic manual and advanced airway management techniques. In addition, this course details ventilation techniques, suctioning, rapid sequence intubations, and surgical airways. The course also introduces the paramedic student to commonly encountered respiratory emergencies, with emphasis on the recognition and treatment of reactive airway disease such as asthma. Concurrent enrollment in PARM 120
