Health Requirements
The Kaskaskia College Children's Learning Center provides a safe and healthy environment for the children at
all times. The State of Illinois requires a medical examination every two years for each child and staff
member. This is to be submitted with your child's registration information.
If a child becomes sick or injured while at the center, the parents will notified immediately and
asked to make arrangements to pick up their child. The sick child will be removed from the vicinity
of other children until he/she is taken home. If a child has had a temperature, diarrhea, or vomiting
during the evening, he/she will not be admitted the following day.
Current Information
A completed application form must be on file before your child may attend. In addition, all required
DCFS forms, including a physical, personal/emergency information, etc., must be completed.
The Kaskaskia College Children's Learning Center is required to keep an updated file on each child enrolled.
Please let us know in writing if there are any changes in: phone number(s), address, class schedule, who
is authorized to pick up your child, or who to contact in case of an emergency.
Parent Involvement
Another crucial component to a child's positive experience throughout their educational career is parental
involvement. Parents of children attending the Kaskaskia College Children's Learning Center will be
encouraged to spend time in their child's classroom, participate in school activities, and utilize
the many resources we have available.
Meal Service
A well-balanced breakfast and lunch will be provided daily. Weekly menus will be posted. Meals
are served family-style, which helps promote table manners, conversation, and positive eating habits.
Children are encouraged, but never forced, to try all foods served. PLEASE DO NOT BRING FOOD OR DRINK
TO THE CENTER. Any special dietary needs should be discussed with the child's teacher.
Fees
Full Day - $24.00 per child
Half Day - $18.00 per child
