the iron law of oligarchy and demonstrate its importance with examples.

prejudices and discrimination in organizations.
- Compare
and Contrast the major features of Western organizations and Japanese
organizations.
Chapter 6
1. Think
of a club you belong to on campus or a club you joined as a high school
student. Was this a primary or secondary group? Support your answer with the
use of sociological concepts and actual experiences.
2. Recall
and in-group of which you are (or were) a member. Discuss the consequences this
group had for others. Defend the right of this group had for others. Defend the
right of this group to exist on sociological grounds.
3. Think
of an example of groupthink at your school. Analyze this situation in terms of
positive or negative consequences.
