Wayne Harre
Wayne Harre played basketball for Kaskaskia College from 1983 to 1985 averaging 10 points per game and 7 assists per game , setting a 29-6 record in 1984 and a 36-3 record in 1985. His team garnered a Region 4 Conference Championship and were ranked 7th in the country. Wayne earned the Defense Award, MVP, All Region and All Conference Awards both years he played for Kaskaskia and was selected as an Academic All American and the Male Athlete of the Year in 1985.
A scholarship to SIU – Carbondale provided Wayne the opportunity to play another two years of college basketball until his graduation in 1987. He went on to coach boys and girls basketball at Nashville High School earning several Coach of the Year Awards for his work with the girls basketball team. He is presently employed in the farming career field and is a recent Pace Setter Award Recipient.
